Electric Cloud ranks No. 1,915 with three-year growth of 135 percent
New York, NY — August 23, 2011 Inc. magazine today ranked Electric Cloud, the smart development cloud company, No. 1,915 on its fifth-annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The California-based company grew by 135 percent between 2007 and 2010. The Inc. 500|5000 list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America's independent entrepreneurs. The 2011 Inc. 500 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2010. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2007 is $100,000; the minimum for 2010 is $2 million.
